Our Judges have now completed the shortlisting for our 2024 Awards and we are delighted to announce this years finalists.
This year we received nominations from 239 people who all got in touch to tell us about an individual, group or business that goes above and beyond in our community, as you can appreciate this provided our Judges with a very difficult job to shortlist... receiving 23 separate nominees in one category (The Teacher of the Year) and to shortlist that to just 3 finalists is not easy!
Our Judges have worked extremely hard and given their own time over the last two weekends to score every single nominee and come up with a shortlist, we'd like to thank our judging panel which consists of some of our WF3 Kindness team, other charities, professionals from the public and private sector and representatives from the local authority - thank you to you all, it's not an easy job!
Finalists
Every single nominee is clearly highly valued in the community and their efforts do not go unnoticed, we’re sure you’ll agree that they should all be proud of what they have done and continue to do and be happy that someone has taken the time out of their day to nominate them for one of our Awards... every single nominee improves our community and deserves a huge pat on the back!

The Kate Allen People's Champion Award
We recently shared some sad news on our socials about our friend and supporter of WF3 Kindness, Kate Allen, who lived in East Ardsley. Kate was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2021 and featured in our Best of WF3 Awards last year when her friends, 'Kate's Mates', won the first ever Kevin Sinfield Award of Friendship.
In tribute and honour to Kate we have launched The Kate Allen - People's Champion Award which will include every single nominee (not only the finalists) and is the only award which is decided entirely by members of the public.
'We're proud and honoured to have this award in Kate's name. Kate had a wonderful time at the awards last year and to think that each year she is going to be part of this event and the community which meant so much to her is something that we will treasure.' -Craig Dunwell, Kate's partner
The Kate Allen-People's Champion Award has been kindly sponsored by family friend, Dan McTernan from MacTeas.
You can vote for your people's champion on our website: https://www.wf3kindness.org/awards-peoples-champion or click the button below. VOTES CLOSE AT MIDDAY ON FRIDAY 1 MARCH.
