The Kate Allen People's Champion Award

We recently shared some sad news on our socials about our friend and supporter of WF3 Kindness, Kate Allen, who lived in East Ardsley. Kate was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2021 and featured in our Best of WF3 Awards last year when her friends, 'Kate's Mates', won the first ever Kevin Sinfield Award of Friendship.

In tribute and honour to Kate we have launched The Kate Allen - People's Champion Award which will include every single nominee from this year and is the only award which is decided entirely by members of the public.

'We're proud and honoured to have this award in Kate's name. Kate had a wonderful time at the awards last year and to think that each year she is going to be part of this event and the community which meant so much to her is something that we will treasure.' -Craig Dunwell, Kate's partner

The Kate Allen-People's Champion Award has been kindly sponsored by family friend, Dan McTernan from MacTeas.

You can vote for your people's champion on our website: https://www.wf3kindness.org/awards-peoples-champion or click the button below. VOTES CLOSE AT MIDDAY ON FRIDAY 1 MARCH.

Sponsorship

As with all the events and programs that we run, our Best of WF3 Awards are only possible because of the support and generosity of local people and the business community.

If you can help us recognise and celebrate those people that live, work or go to school in Tingley, Ardsley, Thorpe or the surrounding area please let us know. We have options available from £35 up to £200, alternatively if you can help us in non-financial ways we'd love to hear from you! You can view our packages on our website: https://www.wf3kindness.org/awards-sponsor or email us at awards@wf3kindness.org, alternatively you can click the button below.
