Founded in March 2020, our initial objective was to support people in Tingley, Ardsley and Thorpe during the Coronavirus pandemic, and although the world is a very different place to what it was then, it is clear that there is still a need within our community and there is still people willing to help.

Our vision remains to create a friendly, supportive and kind community for everyone that lives, works or goes to school across Tingley, Ardsley, Thorpe and the surrounding area.

The work we do is focussed on three key areas: to Connect our community, Support our community and to Change our community, everything we do will fall into one of these streams:

 

We connect our community by holding events, such as our Best of WF3 Awards, Family Fun Day and Easter Trail which bring individuals young and old, our business community, organisations and the local authority together. 

 

We support our community by producing Kindness and Wellbeing Packages and we work with other community groups and agencies to support the most vulnerable and those going through crisis situations.

 

We change our community by working with local community groups, the local authority and other agencies to make our area safer, healthier and happier for everyone for years to come.

We have been serving our communities for the last 4 years, and whilst we are over the days of lockdowns, social distancing and home schooling, communities throughout the UK continue to face real issues that affect people both young and old. Our role as the local community charity gives us the opportunity and responsibility to speak up about these problems, such as food insecurity, poverty and trauma and work with other charities, organisations and decision makers to improve them.
