Hundreds of locals turned out to our largest ever community event at Woodkirk Valley Football Club.

WF3 Kindness organised the community Family Fun Day event with support from our partners which took place at Woodkirk Valley Football Club on Sunday, September 1.

Sponsored by Marshalls plc and Lydgate Lodge for the second year in a row and supported by our Partners, there was plenty for all the family to enjoy from face painting and inflatables to the vast array of stalls along with birds of prey and even a 24 player brass band and majorettes troupe.

The Mayor of Morley Cllr Simon Brown, alongside Cllrs Oliver Newton, Jane Senior, Karen Bruce and our new MP Mark Sewards, were guests at the event.

"It was a pleasure to co-open the WF3 Kindness Family Fun Day at Woodkirk Valley Football Club. "WF3 Kindness are a relatively new charity, which stretches from Tingley through East Ardsley and even helping people as far as Stanley and Lofthouse. They are going from strength to strength through every event that they host" Oliver Newton, Councillor Morley South

We were lucky to have a number of dedicated volunteers turn out on the day to help us make the event a great success, without these volunteers the event could not have happened. We would like to thank everyone that came along on Sunday to enjoy our largest public event, along with all the stall holders that attended.

Special thanks to the management team at Woodkirk Valley Football Club for their support and generosity.

Entertainment was kindly provided by Tingley Brass Band and Morley Allstars Majorettes which provided the perfect backdrop for locals whilst visiting the many traders and taking part in the activities.

The inflatables and Mini Golf games (kindly donated by Yorkshire Events Hire) were a huge hit with youngsters, and the hog roast sandwiches provided by Jack from R.H. Binks & Sons Butchers went down a treat!

The WF3 Kindness team will be meeting in the next few weeks to discuss the event and learn from any feedback that we have recieved. If you attended on Sunday, please let us know what you thought by contacting us by email: info@wf3kindness.org or by messaging us on our Facebook page.
