We are proud to work with and support our amazing NHS and the selfless carers that look after the most vulnerable people within our community.

​What is Care for Carers?

Our Care for Carers initiative is there to celebrate and appreciate the NHS staff and the selfless carers, both paid and unpaid, that live or work in Tingley, Ardsley and Thorpe..

What are we doing?

With help from our volunteers we have supported the NHS and Care sector workers by:

Our volunteers have made uniform laundry bags, scrub hats, face masks and mask extenders;

We have provided Patient Packs and Staff Welfare Packs (incl shower gel, tooth brush and tooth paste);

We have handed out gift sets and special treats, just to say thank you!​

West Ardsley Action Group we are fundraising to raise funds to purchase some defibrillators across the community.

Why are we doing this?

We think it's important to recognise, celebrate and thank the people in our community that put others first and go above and beyond to helping others. During the pandemic we all became that little more aware of the challenges that working on the front line have on individuals, those in a caring job have been under increased pressure to continue their role but at the same time trying to look after themselves.
